I think it’s a little early for fall beers (it’s supposed to be 93 tomorrow, for crying out loud!), but they’re here regardless. Most of them are pumpkin spice flavored, but there are some other ones like Stone’s Mocha IPA and Starr Hill’s Last Leaf Maple Brown Ale. I decided to mix a pumpkin spice beer with some mocha IPA, in equal parts, to make a pumpkin spice latte IPA.
It didn’t work well. They’re better separate. But I feel good.

A for Effort
I’m having one of these right now

Looks good. The pumpkin spice beer is good by itself. Not too strong, which balances out the hardcore mocha IPA. The mix wasn’t THAT bad, just...off.

It’s all about trial and error.

How is the maple brown? I might need some of that. Starr Hill had a pumpkin porter a few years ago that was just phenomenal.

Haven’t had it yet, but my coworker (we sell it at work and he bought a 6-pack) liked it.

Yeah. I’ve also never mixed beers before.

Certain ones turn out pretty good. You can put some with liquor and have good results as well. Guiness splashed with Chambord is very tasty.

I have some liquor, but I drank both the beers already, so that’s out for now.
